Josie Madeline Grove passed away peacefully with grace and dignity at home in the arms of her family
after a two-and-a-half-year battle with leukaemia. As she had wished, she died at home with her
family.
From the moment she discovered that her treatment had failed she wanted to help other children with
cancer. Through the Strength, Courage and the happiness that shone from within her she became an
inspiration to thousands of people.
She created Josie's dragonfly (a silver pendant )as a lasting legacy so that her fundraising could
continue and grow after she had gone.
Josie's Dragonfly Trust now makes a huge difference to other Children & teenagers with Cancer

Her family would like to thank all of those who gave what can only be described as overwhelming
support during her final months and which helped her to carry on during the difficult times.
It was Josie's wish that she be remembered as the girl who was always smiling.
She will be dearly missed.
My Darling Josie,
We have said goodbye to your earthly body,
But we know that your spirit still walks beside us,
Holding our hands, laughing and loving us the way you always did.
From the day you were born you lit up our lives
And you shone so brightly that you touched a thousand hearts.
You gave us so much more than we could ever have given you.
June says that you chose us for your family,
You must have known that no-one could love you more.
So Thank you Josie, you made us so very proud.
Now your work here is done. You are safe in Gods arms,
Free to run barefoot in the grass,
To swim in the sea and to float on the breeze.
So have fun sweetheart
You’re going to be a real cool Angel!
Love you more.
Bravery
Reading this made me cry....How brave Josie must have been to fight the way she did. I lost my dad to cancer in August and I know how very frightening it is. I hope your at peace with the angels now....look after your family who must be a lost without that smile. RIP Josie x x

I was so saddened when heard that Josie had lost her long battle with Cancer. Another one of our precious Teenagers taken away by this cruel, wicked disease.
I lost my 15 year old son Ross to Ewings Sarcoma - Bone Cancer last May. Like Josie he kept fighting till the very end always with a smile. They are all incredibly brave, courageous Teenagers, and may they all find each other in Heaven.
My thoughts are with all Josie`s family and friends at this sad time.
RIP Josie xxxxxxxxx
brave girl
What a brave girl. These are the kind of teenagers that make our world great - and the sort of lives we should be celebrating.
R.I.P Josie xxxx
Too Young Too soon
I heard about you in the paper and my friend has just been diagnosed with cancer and you are so brave for what you have been through. Your parents and family should be so proud of you. You are a credit and an inspiration to any young women.
Rest in peace, Angel.

hugs from heaven from a very brave and beautiful young lady
Hugs From Heaven
by Charlotte Anselmo
When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From a loved one way up high.
If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.
If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From someone special up above.
If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.
If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.
So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.
